Happy New Year

Happy New Year dear friends,

November and December came and went, and may I say way too quickly. I unfortunately caught covid and was completely taken out for 3 weeks (I lost most of December) until I was finally feeling back to normal (or I should say, safe enough to use power tools again, hah). I am still struggling with some brain freezes, but hoping to get back into the full swing of things soon.

I’ve spent the last two weeks catching up on projects I had left hanging when I unexpectedly became sick. The beautiful memorials that went home; a freeze-dried taxidermy hamster and adorned dome (they had been waiting over two years for their memorial due to delays in freeze-dry machinery so we were so so happy to have them reunited), a sweet kitty skull and mummified paws, two dog skulls, some heart memorials, two skeletal memorials, and a kitty skull. I am hoping the next few weeks to finalize the full skeletal articulations. So keep some eyes peeled on emails from me - I will reach out to you <3

On a funny note, social media is a hilarious place and noted how our dear hamster memorial looked like a salad... Hilariously I agree (I totally did not intend to but gosh it does look like a salad! Very thankful our hamster's momma agrees and finds it adoring) but also, what a sweet memorial for a hamster?! What would your salad heaven be? My dear Niko’s would be red pompoms, tiki cat purée, plastic bags he loves to pretend to chew, and maybe one of my sweaters. Tiger's would be all the treats in the world, grass and beautiful flowers, her favorite chew toy and mousey. Mine? Probably being surrounded by my kitties, tarantulas, and snacks, please. Maybe some bones… too morbid?

On that note; Thank you again for sticking with me these last few rough years. I appreciate you all and the patience you have given me in finishing projects. At this point there is no catching up, just moving forward. And hoping to continue that with you all by growing with more memorial offerings. Realizing the privilege of memorials by offering 'paying it forward' options, ceremonial kits for DIY, and other options as a way to have alternative death practices/options available to all (just a preview with my goals for this new year). Thank you for the amazing projects I have been able to work on. Memorializing the dear beautiful souls that I really feel called to do. Memorializing life in death. It truly is an honor, even on the heavy emotional days, the moment of reuniting souls together makes it all worth it.

Thank you xo, A

“Open Books Ahead”

Last month I spoke about works in progress and trying to catch up. But I’ve come to accept there isn’t a ‘catching up’ but rather a pivot and redirection.

It’s wild it is already September! The last few months I have completed some beautiful memorials, but still have many behind schedule. All memorial current due dates are an additional 6 months. And speaking to my talented skeletal colleagues - seems like everyone is experiencing severe delays.

But we have to continue moving forward! Things to look forward to in my new processing, is new changed to my protocols. All progress emails will be accompanied with progress photos, but I have a limit to how much I can provide so these will only come at major progress points. If you do not wish to see the images, you can opt out of the files, but I will be doing this as an aid for documentation of progress on my end, beyond our progress sheets. These photos will only be for client and client use only therefore not to be published publicly. I hope these will aid in the connection to your beloved while you two are apart.

Lastly, books have reopened and I have released my new pricing. I will slowly be responding to applications, however I am a one person operation (Oracle team is not associated with my memorials) so please be patient with me. Please wait to schedule with me before mailing out your pet or contacting our Aquamation Center. I can only do a certain amount and do have a waitlist - so help me honor and respect everyone who have been waiting patiently.

Thank you so much for understanding and everyones patience!

Until next time…

Tiger has been recovering from her cancer surgery and tooth removal very well! My vet office is amazing and immediately knew I wanted to keep her teeth! Very grateful for the thorough care they gave her… shows how important starting the talk about after death care or even current health care with your vet is so important! Her stitches came out this Saturday and no more cone of shame, hah. I do highly suggest this orange slice if you are expecting your dearest having surgery in the near future… Very comfortable and sill allowed her to eat, drink, and litterbox easily unlike those e-collars! Plus… they are hella cute <3
